Scorre bene ed intrattiene. La narrazione scorre ed è anche divertente.

Registro di scrittura un po' fuori target

Sebbene sia dichiaratamente un libro per bambini, il registro di scrittura risulta inizialmente altalenante (a metà tra un romanzo per adolescenti e un libro per bambini, cambiando registro repentinamente) per poi stabilirsi su un registro da romanzo adolescenziale, quasi troppo complicato per un pubblico di 10/11 anni.

Con la scusa di leggerlo ai bambini la sera prima che vadano a dormire, ho preso l'edizione italiana illustrata del primo libro della saga di Harry Potter, che tra l'altro avevo letto come tutti gli altri in inglese. Le immagini sono davvero belle, e hanno affascinato i settenni. La storia, letta con il senno di poi, presenta degli aspetti molto interessanti, come per esempio il tratteggio della figura di Piton ma soprattutto quello di Harry e dei suoi amici, che sembrano a prima vista solo abbozzati... prima di ricordarsi che in quel momento avevano undici anni e quindi il loro carattere doveva per forza essere più infantile. Insomma, un'interessante rilettura anche per i vecchietti come me. Dopo tutti quegli anni dalla prima lettura, non saprei dire quanto la traduzione di Marina Astrologo segua l'originale - ricorderete probabilmente la diatriba sulla prima traduzione... - ma sicuramente è scorrevole.
