Amazing Stories vol. 9, no. 6 1934 10 (October 1934)

My best guess is that the catlike, floppy alien in the chair is missing a skeleton and the device is going to put one in? Someone please read the magazine.

Sadly Miles' 2nd-hand bookstore is not only gone but is demolished entirely: https://maps.app.goo.gl/q9Pyf53tDbUyak1YA

Amazing Stories vol. 24, no. 5 (May 1950)

This is a little too straightforward for me, but you have to admit the chairoscuro and the imagery (is it imagery, or does this guy have a little Herman's Head deal going on?) are strong.

Astounding vol. 16, no. 6 (February 1936)

I love this one, there's a real sense of movement and the monster is excellent.

Voici, après Eric Frank Russell et James H. Schmitz, un autre grand nom de l'Age …

Worlds of IF (May 1968)

Are they wearing helmets? It's hard to make out. Maybe just a dome and those space sunglasses are enough on this planet. This one is kind of clunky but the red and the silhouette of the ship are excellent.

Astounding vol. 39, no. 6 (August 1947)

Oh a LOT is going on here. The world has ended, that much we know, but … not yet? There are only primitive figures left, one guy holding a bible (someone confirm for me please?) but there's a ghost as well. Why is he climbing to the top of that mountain?

Worlds of IF (October 1966)

Terrific design, very powerful, great composition. However I'm left not knowing if this is a montage or an actual scene because the perspective is hard to interpret.

Astounding vol. 28, no. 5 (January 1942)

I have no idea what's happening here, but it's quite a powerful scene and a nice tight composition.
