Erich Mühsam: Von Eisner bis Leviné (Paperback, German language, 1976, MaD-Verlag) No rating

I guess it's time, since I've moved accounts.

I'm a 60s-vintage person who grew up swimming, strumming, and playing 1st edition D&D. I've been schooled in computer science (BS, ) and ancient history (PhD ). I'm a veteran of the US Air Force.

Since 2008, I've worked for (Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at ) where I combine those school fields doing and (a bit) teaching . I also run the of ancient places. I live (and therefore work remotely) from my basement near . My wife and I share the space with 2 dogs and 2 cats.

By way of : I’m not a recent Twitter migrant, left earlier bc of toxicity, glad to see old Twitter friends here. I’m a reader, writer, actor, cat/dog/critter lover who sometimes gets up in front of people and tells stories. I work with/for a tiny nonprofit school in Vermont, USA.

I enjoy cooking and chatting about cooking; sometimes I photograph what I've cooked or post recipes I've tinkered with. I can my own jams and tomatoes with produce from our local farms, because Vermont winters require having a little jar of summer at hand when the nights are long. I love the smell of coffee but prefer to drink tea (loose leaf, properly steeped, is a delight).

I'm expressly anti-fascist, because apparently that needs to be said out loud now.

Hashtag Mash:

I've never been any good at Twitter so I'm unlikely to be any good at Mastodon, but I'm happy to be here. Happy to diversify a little. I hope I picked the right server to join.

It is going to take some getting used to not having to thread things, I can tell you that right now for free.
