She wants Ishmael Wang and his crew to take a crew of cadets into the Deep Dark. They have to sort out the crews of two ships, figure out what lessons they need to teach, and who will get those lessons.
Once they agree, the trouble starts.
The first time I felt that this was going agonizingly slow, it's still slow, but really quite enjoyable as well, funny how the first book of a triology kind of feels like the second, but the second doesn't :)
I was thinking I should take the time to savour this book, but well I ended up blasting through it anyway, I really enjoyed it, it's really funny how Nathan manages to write a whole book about something that probably would just be a short paragraph in another book, and actually make it really fun and engaging. This is a really enjoyable time, I just really like spending time with the characters, and I can't wait for the next one :D
